  Died: ROCK FALLS ? Marian W. Zink, 89, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, her husband, Lawrence A. Zink, 89, died Tuesday Sept. 18, 2018, at their Rock Falls home. Marian was born Feb. 9, 1929, in Savanna, the daughter of Frank and Frances (Halfman) Wires. She married Lawrence Zink April 30, 1948, in Clinton, Iowa. She was a homemaker. Survivors include their children, Gary (Cindy) Zink, Linda Maynard, Dennis (Julie) Zink and Cheryl Zink; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Marian was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, John Wires and one in infancy. A joint visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday, and the funeral at 11 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rock Falls, with the Rev. Bree Truax officiating. Burial will be at Coloma Township Cemetery, in Rock Falls. McDonald Funeral Home, in Rock Falls, is handling arrangements.
