LANARK - Erma C. Williams, 93, of Lanark, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, at Good Samaritan Society - Mount Carroll. She worked in the cafeteria at Lanark High School until retiring.
She was born Aug. 24, 1918, the daughter of Floyd and Ida (Michael) Tripp in Salem Township, Carroll County. Erma married Robert Williams on Aug. 24, 1936, in Freeport. He preceded her in death in 2003. She was a member of Church of the Brethren, Lanark.
She is survived by three children, Mina (Wayne) Linker of Chadwick, Linda (Francis) Snider of Milledgeville and Albert (Bonnie) Williams of Lanark; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandsons; one sister, Mildred Tripp of Sterling; one brother, Allen (Georgia) Tripp of Sterling; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Hazel of Savanna and Florence Tripp of Chadwick.
She also was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister, and one granddaughter.
Friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11 a.m. Saturday at Church of the Brethren, with John Sgro, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Lanark Cemetery. Arrangements were completed by Russell-Frank Funeral Home, Lanark.
A memorial has been established.

Farewell Festivity for Charles Tripps
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Baumgardt entertained at a picnic supper Saturday evening at the American Legion Hall.
The event was in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tripp, who are moving to Denver, Colo. in the near future.
A gift of money was presented to the honoree from the following who were present: Mr. and Mrs. Ray Jarvis of Aurora, Mr. and Mrs. Oran Bryant and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gail Spencer, and family, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Davis and family, Mr. and Mrs. William Brown and family and Mr. and Mrs. Don Miller and family.

78, formerly of Denver, died July 18. Services were July 23. Mr. Tripp was born in Carroll County, Ill., on Jan. 2, 1920. He retired from the University of Colorado Medical Center after 15 years as housekeeping supervisor. Obituary of Cheryl K. Gutierrez
Cheryl K Gutierrez was born September 11th 1947 to Charles Tripp and Virginia Thompson in Savanna Illinois.
She passed at home August 4th 2020 at 11:35 p.m. Thankfully she was surrounded by her husband and daughters at her time of passing.
Cheryl was famous for her sweet tea and known for her creativity and fun yet strict ways. She made costumes for all three of her kids throughout their childhood and even made a few for her grandchildren. Although she was strict there wasn't a day when her house was empty as all the neighborhood kids would always be around.
Cheryl is survived by her husband Abe Gutierrez, daughter Mona Rodriguez, son Abel Gutierrez (Shantell), and daughter Gina Portugal. She had 7 grandchildren (Adam, Gabby, Anika, Caressa, Quinnen, Annabella, Kaelyn, Jonathan) and 4 great grandchildren (Benjamin, Jeremiah, Matthew, Melody).Cheryl married Abelino Antonio Gutierrez, Sr. on 08 Sep 1969 in Brighton, Adams County, Colorado.
