He was married October 23, 1862 to Friedrike Hermann, who was born July 7, 1838. They have had seven children, two sons and five daughters. Taken from The Outagamie County Pioneer Record. HENRY FIESTEDT, who is widely and favorably known in Center township as an industrious farmer and citizen, is pleasantly located on his excellent property not far from Appleton, which he has brought to a high state of cultivation. He was born on the farm which he is now operating, March 15, 1872, a son of Joachim Fiestedt, a native of Germany who came to the United States as a young man and settled in New York State. It almost looks like polygamy, as the official records are so convoluted, its hard to tell.

Best grandma ever. She made myself and siblings feel like we were the most special kids in the world. I spent allot of time with her in the summer. She drove like she was a race car driver. She did "cook shack" in the summer. I was with her every chance I had. These were little wooden buildings that could be moved. It had a kitchen on one end and large tables on the other side. This was for feeding the guys harvesting and running the machines in the field.
Grandma was always on Grandpas case about something and it was pretty funny. They called each other Ma and Dad. I can still hear her say "dad get in this kitchen and empty the water out of the potatoes. She was independent. They had 7 boys and a daughter. The daughter passed shortly after birth. She was always busy. We spent allot of time on weekends with them. The Schulers were very close. All of their children would visit and spend the week ends with them. We really got to know our Uncles and their families. To this day we are still in touch with our extended family. Love that woman.

On Nov. 23, 1931 she was united in marriage to Beau Huolihan. Following their marriage, the couple lived in the Appleton area and has resided here ever since. Beau died on Mar. 27, 1978. (survivors omitted for privacy) She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister, Doris Boyea, and a son-in-law, Earl Kading. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, at St. Pius X with Fr. David Schmidt officiating. Eva took great pride in being an active member and officer of the Grange for many years. She was an inspiration and a fount(ain) of encouragement and laughter for her friends and family all of her life. Her passing has made the world's light of humanity a little less brightly.
Survivors include two daughters, Beth Swank of Savannah, GA. and Jill Fowler of Austin, Texas; three grandchildren, Paige, Tracy and Alison; 4 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sandy (Don) Young of Lakewood, Colorado and Virginia Thompson of Commerce City, Colorado; and two brothers, Roland (Bud) Schroth of Thornton, Colorado and Donald Schroth of Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

Virginia Emma Thompson, age 89, was born January 18, 1922 in Appleton, WI the daughter of Roland and Eva (Ehredt) Schroth and passed away December 21, 2011 in St. Joseph, Missouri.

The second of seven children born to Roland Harold and Eva Barbara (Ehredt) Schroth.

Virginia's early childhood was spent in Derinda Center, Illinois and then in Thomson, Illinois.
Virginia graduated from York Community High School Graduating Class of 1940 in Thomson Illinois

In 1941 in a dual wedding Virginia married Charles John Tripp alongside good friends Russell and Francis Lego.
Virginia and Chuck (as he was called) had 5 children from this marriage, Charles Russell, Sheldon David, LaVerle Eugene, Cheryl Kay, Micheal Ray

In 1963 Virginia married Dwight Lee Thompson.
Along with this marriage Virginia gained three step children, Connie Jean, Robert Lee and Timothy Lynn. She had as much love for her step children as she did for her own.
Virginia and Dwight also had one child together, Dwight Lee Jr.

Virginia was a Licensed Psychiatric technician at Colorado General Hospital for more than 25 years. She retired to spend more time with her husband Dwight who was diagnosed with cancer. They spent many years together before his passing in 1991.

Virginia was a very caring and giving person, she was always glad to see you when you came to visit and you always had a place to stay if you needed one.

Kenneth Charles Wendt, 83, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on February 19, 2019, at St. Vincent?s Hospital in Green Bay. He was born September 10, 1935, in West Jacksonport to Ervin and Clara (Schink) Wendt. On September 10, 1960, he married Mary Louise Roberts in Sturgeon Bay.
After high school, Ken served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1954-1956. After the service, he worked at Sawyer Dray Line Trucking and was later employed by Smith & Schartner from 1961-2000. In 1969, Ken bought half of the business from Bill Schartner. He retired in 2000, but continued as a co-owner until 2015 when he sold his half of the business to Joe Haen.
In his retirement, Ken?s passion was his volunteer work. Since 1972, he was on the Recreation Committee with AMVETS, where he was chairman for 8 years. He was on the King Committee for the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs from 1975-2012 and on the Board of Veterans Affairs from 2000-2006. For 18 years, Ken was also chairman of the Hospital and Service Foundation for AMVETS Dept. of Wisconsin. As a result of his extensive volunteerism, the Wisconsin Department of Veteran?s Affairs dedicated a meeting room in Ken?s name at the Marden Memorial Center at the Veteran?s Home in King, WI.
Ken was a life member of Weber-Tess AMVETS Post 51 in Sturgeon Bay and other local veterans? groups. There wasn?t a veteran anywhere whom Ken wouldn?t support.
Ken was a long-time and active member of St. Peter?s Lutheran Church where he served in numerous capacities. He was past president of the congregation, held numerous council positions, served communion to ?shut-ins?, and most recently enjoyed being part of the new member committee.
Ken?s volunteerism also included driving for Door-Tran, the Red Cross, and helping the Sturgeon Bay Maritime Committee get Sturgeon Bay designated as a Coast Guard city.
Ken will be remembered as an extremely social person who enjoyed being ?out and about? in the community and helping others in need. Memorials may be given to St. Peter?s Lutheran Church or the Wisconsin Veterans Home (King) Recreation Committee.
Survivors include his wife; 4 children, Sue Ellen (Randy) Miller, Oshkosh; Robert (Kori) Wendt, Omaha, NE; Timothy (Robin) Wendt, Mt. Pleasant, WI; Tobin Wendt, Sturgeon Bay; 5 grandchildren, Austin, Abbi, Alec, Brennan and Andrew Wendt; 1 sister, Caroline Polster, Menomonee Falls, WI; brother-in-law, Raymond Schuh, Green Bay; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 sisters: infant sister Edith, Arlene Wendt, Ethel Schuh, and Dolores Schartner.

Roxane C. Wunsch-Parsons, age 84, formerly of Shawano, passed away peacefully late Sunday evening, November 6, 2016 at St. Anne of Winona in Winona, Minnesota, where she had been a resident for the past four months.
Roxane was born February 11,1932 in Appleton, Wisconsin. She attended school in Bonduel, graduating from Bonduel High School in 1949. Following high school Roxane moved to Milwaukee where she was employed as a legal secretary. On January 22, 1955, she was united in marriage to Hilbert Wunsch in Tucson, Arizona, where Hilbert was serving in the United States Army. Following his service the couple moved to River Falls, Wisconsin where Hilbert finished his education. The couple then moved to Cecil, then Clintonville, and in 1995 they settled in Shawano. Roxane was employed as a legal secretary for many years at the Mularkey & Malueg Law Firm in Clintonville. Hilbert preceded Roxane in death in December, 1998.
Roxane was later united in marriage to Gordon Parsons at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Gordon preceded her in death in July, 2013. Roxane is a member of St. James Lutheran Church of Shawano where she was very active as a volunteer. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, dancing, and liked to travel.
Roxane is survived by her four children, Judith Torchia of Nashville, TN, Paula (Larry) Lambdin of Lake Tahoe, CA, Richard Wunsch of Fountain City, WI, and LauraLe Wunsch of Oakland, CA; five grandchildren, Clare, Anna, Kate, Emily, and Samantha; her step-children, Randy (Denise) of Dubuque, IA, Joan (Chuck) Urban of Shawano, Jeff Parsons of Shawano, Jill (Jay) Brown of Green Bay, Diane (Ed) Durkee of Shawano, and Tammy (Kevin) Zuleger of Bonduel; her step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Dennis, Gene, and William.
A memorial service for Roxane Wunsch-Parsons will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Pastor Tim Griffin will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Shawano. Relatives and friends may call at St. James Lutheran Church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Dallas D. Schuler Sr., 88, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 with his family by his side as the sun rose welcoming him to eternal life. Dallas was born on September 15, 1932 to Chester and Geneva (Wolfgram) Schuler in Oregon, Wisconsin. Dallas was one of eight sons.
In addition to his parents, Dallas was preceded in death by his wife, Christine; son, Delmont D. Schuler Jr.; granddaughter, Dallas Rae Schuler; brothers: Bert, Gene, Phil, and sister, Jesse.
Dallas worked for Standard Oil for 27 years and was a member of the Kiwanis Golden K. He enjoyed working in his yard and always had something in his shop to tinker on. He loved the outdoors especially fishing, scuba diving and traveling. He loved his children and cherished his grandchildren, though he thought the world of his great grandchildren. Dallas? world was his family and he will be loved and deeply missed by all.

Blanche VanOudenhoven, age 90, entered heavens gates with her family at her side on August 1st, 2021, at Brewster Village, Appleton, where she resided for the last 5 years. She was born on November 6, 1930, in Grand Chute, daughter of the late, Lester and Marie (Kohl) Plutz. As a young girl, Blanche attended Saint Theresa Catholic School, Appleton. She married Eugene VanOudenhoven on January 22, 1949. She and Gene then raised their seven children in Neenah.
Blanche had a number of passions she kept close to her heart; one being sewing. As a young mother she sewed alterations for "Carlsons Closet" and "Bee Franks", two prestigious clothing stores in the Fox Valley. She loved to sew outfits for her children, making many Halloween costumes, brides and bridesmaids' gowns, first communion dresses, etc., all beautifully sewn by Blanche. As soon as the children were in school, she went to work at Grants Department Store in the custom drapery department. After a number of years, she decided that she knew the trade enough to start her own business and opened "Blanches Custom Draperies" and worked out of her home until retirement, with Eugene by her side as her installer.
Genealogy was another of Blanches passions. She adored researching town records, visiting cemeteries and courthouses, and checking census rolls to compile her own genealogy books of the "Kohl" and "VanOudenhoven" families. She traveled to Europe, specifically Germany and the Netherlands, with Gene, to complete the information in the books. Beautiful flowerbeds and a large vegetable garden adorned Blanches yard because of her love for gardening and wanting the yard to look beautiful.
Both Gene and Blanche took their children camping to many places, instilling a love for the outdoors. The Black Hills, Mount Rushmore, and Disneyworld were a few of their memorable destinations. The entire family had fun and made friends in the Wisconsin Campers Association. In their later years, Blanche and Gene would love to fish the Minnesota waters.
Blanches Catholic faith was extremely important to her, she was a lifelong member of Saint Margaret Mary Church in Neenah. She was president of "Christian Mothers" for many years and hosted numerous church events including a mother/daughter fashion show.
We will truly miss Blanches smile and sense of humor.
Survivors include her seven children, Greg (Diane) VanOudenhoven, Oshkosh, Greta (Paul) Johnson, Appleton, Grace O'Connell, Appleton, Glenn (Vicki) VanOudenhoven, Winchester, Gail Guay, Omro, Dr. Gary (Susan) VanOudenhoven, Marshfield, and Guy (Tracy) VanOudenhoven, Waupaca; 18 grandchildren: Scot VanOudenhoven, Julie McKinney, Andrew VanOudenhoven, Addie (Tim) Sorbo, Riley Johnson, Shawn (Craig) Reinsch, Erin O'Connell, Tim (Julia) VanOudenhoven, Ben (Laura) VanOudenhoven, Chelsey (Corey) Giordana,
Jenna (Tom) Fendryk, Casey (Jason) Parks, Zoe VanOudenhoven, Maia VanOudenhoven, Quinn VanOudenhoven, Kohl VanOudenhoven, Paige VanOudenhoven, and Tyler VanOudenhoven; 20 great grandchildren; two brothers in-law: Steven VanOudenhoven and Larry Keen; two sisters in-law: Mary Jane Vought and Janet VanOudenhoven. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at the church Wednesday morning beginning at 9:00 until 10:45 AM, with Mass to begin at 11:00 AM. Blanche will be laid to rest at the Saint Margaret Mary cemetery at 2:00pm.
Blanches family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the compassionate Brewster Village-Broadway staff who went above and beyond to provide loving care to our mother. Appleton - Gordon Otto Huolihan 88, of Appleton, passed away on Thursday December 3, 2020 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center of Appleton. He was born on October 13, 1932 in Appleton. The son of Beau and Mildred (Plutz) Huolihan. In his early years he joined the Army and served in the Korean War as a field repair radio technician. On September 28, 1955 he married Janice DuFrane love of his life. Gordon loved to spend time up north at the cottage. He also loved to hike, chop firewood, boating, fishing, and many other outdoor projects. He was also an avid reader while sitting in front of the fireplace. He loved to tell stories. Dad was a true environmentalist at heart. He loved traveling in their motor home seeing the countryside. Dad owned 6 rental homes over the years, and continued to update and remodel. But most of all, dad loved to spend time with family and friends.
Gordon is survived by: his wife Janice Huolihan, (3) Children: Deborah (Steven) VanZeeland, Daniel (Cheryl) Huolihan, and Diane (Randall) Janssen. Marinette - Virginia M. Judkins, 78, of Marinette, WI passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Ginny was born April 16, 1942 in Appleton, WI, daughter of Beau and Mildred (Plutz) Huolihan.
She graduated from Appleton High School in 1960 where she met the love of her life, Harvey (Judd). They married on July 24, 1961. They spent 62 wonderful years making each other laugh while following their dreams. She was an Administrative Assistant for the Marinette School District and then spent 35 years with Goodwill Industries. She had a passion for photography and enjoyed sharing that with family and friends... She spent many wonderful days at the lake house, tending her garden, swimming, boating, and cooking for the family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Harvey (Judd) Judkins, two children: Todd (Cathy) Judkins; Jaci (Ted) Haakonson; two grandchildren: Zac and Erin Judkins; brother and sisters: Anna Kading, Joyce (Ron) Haberland, George (Sue) Huolihan; sister and brother-in-laws: Jan Huolihan, Nancy Huolihan, Rose Franzke, Claire Huolihan, Char (Ken) Schmidt, Terry (Nancy) Judkins; Randee Matthews, Jimmy Budgin, Diane (Nick) Runge, and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Kaukauna - Michael J. Huolihan, 76, passed away due to complications of COVID-19 after a battle with Alzheimer's on Thursday, October 22, 2020. Mike was born on November 9, 1943 to Beau and Mildred (Plutz) Huolihan. He was a veteran having served in the US Army. Mike was a chef for over 50 years, working at various locations, including Butte Des Mortes Country Club, AAL, Alex's Crown, and the Paper Valley Hotel. His passion for the culinary arts earned him many awards, of which he was very proud of. In his free time, Mike enjoyed spending time at the cabin, cutting wood, and hunting. Mike was the family "grill master" and even created his wellknown seasoning blend, Huolihan's Continental Seasoning. Most importantly, the time he spent with his family and friends will always be cherished.
Mike is survived by his son Ryan (Ilona) Huolihan, grandchildren; Addison and Brecken Huolihan, the love of his life with whom he spent 37 years with, Rose Franzke, and her children; Scott (Dawn) Franzke and their son Clayton, Stacy (Kurt) Anderson, and their daughters Alyssa and Emily Anderson. Mike is further survived by his siblings; Gordon (Jan) Huolihan, Anna Kading, Joyce (Ron) Haberland, Ginny (Harvey) Judkins, George (Sue) Huolihan, sisters-in-law; Nancy Huolihan and Claire Huolihan, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army and served honorably during Vietnam. Throughout his life he enjoyed fishing, hunting and especially cutting trees and splitting wood on his father-in-law?s farm. He worked at a local paper mill (Thilmany) following the Service and later turned to long-haul trucking in 1988 starting with Schneider National (Green Bay) and ending with JMW Transfer (Appleton) upon retiring.
Among Dave?s children are: Amanda (Jim) Vandenberg (Menasha); and Beau (Amanda) Huolihan (Neenah), and their daughters Miylah and Harlynn.
David is survived by siblings: Gordon (Jan) Huolihan, Anna Kading, Joyce (Ron) Haberland, Ginny (Harvey) Judkins, George (Sue) Huolihan, and sister-in-law Nancy. And also many nieces and nephews.
