Died: Elmer died at 7:00 PM. at St. Joseph Hospital, Denver, Denver County, Colorado. Obit: Rocky Mountain News, Monday, March 9, 1987, Denver Colo Pg 104. Elmer A. Thompson, 85, of Westminster died March 6 in St. Joseph Hospital. Services were yesterday in Olinger Mortuary chapel, Wadsworth Boulevard. Burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery. Mr. Thompson was a farmer in western Kansas and eastern Colorado for 30 years. He moved to the Denver area in 1953, where he worked for Cobusco Steel and Gardner Denver until retiring in 1966. He is survived by his wife, Thelma L. Thompson of Westminster; three sons, Dwight Thompson of Commerce City, Gerald Thompson and James Thompson, both of Broomfield; a sister, Idonia Wright of Brewster, Kan.; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
