Notes - Span Of Life Of William Walter Bear
William Walter Bear, son of George and Mary Bear, was born on December 18, 1890, north of Brewster, Kans.; and departed this life on July 18, 1958 at the age of 67 years, 7 months.
He was united in marriage to Bessie M. Thompson on October 12, 1910. To this union four children were born; Lorna Eicher, Brewster; Lloyd Bear, Brewster, George Bear, Edson; and Violet Miller, Brewster. His father and mother, three sisters and one brother preceded him in death.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Bessie of the home; the two sons and two daughters; one sister, Mrs. Awalt of Paradise, Calif.; one brother, Charley Bear of Colby; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter, Dely Kay; and many relatives, friends, and loved ones.
Mr. Bear received much pleasure out of his grandchildren, and the grandchildren loved him. Mr. Bear and his family lived north of Brewster for 41 years, then moved to Brewster in the fall of 1947.
Will was always a good neighbor and a friend to all. He was always ready to help anyone in need of help.
Funeral services were held in the Brewster Methodist Church at 10:00 a.m., July 21, 1958, with the Rev. Howard Crandall officiating. Interment was in the Brewster Cemetery.
