Dallas Schuler, Sr.

Dallas D. Schuler Sr., 88, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 with his family by his side as the sun rose welcoming him to eternal life. Dallas was born on September 15, 1932 to Chester and Geneva (Wolfgram) Schuler in Oregon, Wisconsin. Dallas was one of eight sons.
In addition to his parents, Dallas was preceded in death by his wife, Christine; son, Delmont D. Schuler Jr.; granddaughter, Dallas Rae Schuler; brothers: Bert, Gene, Phil, and sister, Jesse.
Dallas worked for Standard Oil for 27 years and was a member of the Kiwanis Golden K. He enjoyed working in his yard and always had something in his shop to tinker on. He loved the outdoors especially fishing, scuba diving and traveling. He loved his children and cherished his grandchildren, though he thought the world of his great grandchildren. Dallas? world was his family and he will be loved and deeply missed by all.
Dallas is survived by his three daughters: Barbara Schuler of Rochelle, Deborah (Robert) Beck of Rochelle, Carol (Michael) Hoelzer of Franklin Grove, IL and daughter-in-law, Toni Schuler of Rochelle; seven grandchildren: Steven Beck of Bowling Green, KY, Kelly (Jason) Burdin of Rochelle, Jennifer (Liesl) Beck of Rochelle, Tracy (Jeff) Jones of Monroe Center, IL, Travis (Hayley) Schuler of Savanna, IL, Brandi (Chris) Campos of Rochelle, and Matthew Hoelzer of Franklin Grove, IL; 16 great grandchildren and two great - great grandsons; four brothers: Don, Burr, Jim and Jon and numerous nieces, and nephews.
Due to Covid-19, there will be a walk through visitation with no family present Was held
Friday, November 6, 2020 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle for whomever would like to pay their respect to Dallas.
Burial will be at Trinity Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made in Dallas?s memory to Serenity Hospice and Home.
