      Ruby Jane Sipe, 79, of Baudette, MN passed away peacefully March 12th at the Sanford hospital in Fargo, ND surrounded by family. She was born May 2nd 1938 at home on the family farm in Carroll county Illinois to John and Bertha (Ehredt) Schnitzler, the youngest of 13 children.
      She married Jack Sipe of Mt. Carroll the 18th of January 1954, and four children were born. Ruby was a dedicated home maker, wife, and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She faithfully provided care and nurturing to her family, often during extended absences of her military husband. Ruby worked various jobs a significant portion of her life, and retired in 2001 from Marvin Windows after more than 17 years. Ruby had many interests, including sewing, crafting, ceramics, gardening, and traveling to visit family. She was a huge supporter of the local Bears sports teams and was a voracious reader which led her to volunteer to serve on the local library board for many years. She was active in Air Force and local community events, especially in her younger years.
      Ruby is survived by her only remaining sibling, Betty Bowman; children: Marlene Weber, Jonathan (Collette) Sipe, LeAnn (Stephen) Nesmith, and Lawrence (Bonnie) Sipe; grandchildren: Kristine (John) Ellis, Alyson (Joey) Kendall, John Sipe (Krista), Danica Sipe (Noah), Cassandra Azarpay, Thadeus Sipe, Janie Sipe (Austin), and Jarred Sipe; five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
      Interment at Elm Park Cemetery.
