      THOMSON - Martin M. Ehredt of Thomson, an area farmer and an employee of Kraft Foods, Stockton, until retiring in 1968, died Sunday at Jane Lamb Hospital, Clinton, Iowa. He was a member of Savanna Moose Lodge.
      Born Nov. 13, 1903, at Derinda Center, he was the son of Martin and Sophia (Groezinger) Ehredt. He married Luella Smith Oct. 11, 1931, at Mount Carroll. Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Elizabeth) Duff and
      Mrs. Carl (Etta) Carlson,; both of Thomson; a son, Martin of Barrow, Alaska; 10 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Louisa Schultzy of Dubuque, Iowa; and a brother, Frank of Round Lake. A son and three grandchildren preceded him in death.
      Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna. The Rev. Albert Ihne will officiate. Burial will be in Savanna Township Cemetery. -- Freeport Journal Standard, pg. 13, Tues., Sept. 7, 1976
