MARCH 27, 2017 IN THE CARE OF Stonebriar Funeral Home and Cremation Services Mary (Pat) Plutz was an extraordinary woman who led an extraordinary life. She was born the 9th child to Peter Sr. and Marie (Wachtendonck) Van Sambeek of Kimberly, Wisconsin on July 13, 1941. Pat passed through Heaven's gates on Monday, March 27, 2017, while at home with her beloved husband of 54 years by her side. To know Pat was to love her, as her dedication and loyalty to family, friends and her nation knew no bounds, and she was adored by all. As a result of 21 years as an active duty military wife to her husband, a Vietnam veteran, and her unwavering support of all of her brothers who served in WWII and the Korean War respectively, Pat's patriotic spirit was profound and contagious to those around her. Even well into retirement, she continued to regularly send care boxes to active service members overseas, and every Memorial Day, Pat and Les sold poppies to raise money for veterans' programs. She was an active member and Chaplain of the American legion Auxiliary of Wisconsin and Texas, and the VFW Auxiliary in McKinney, Texas, and never hesitated to alert businesses if their American flags were in need of replacement. Pat graduated from Kimberly High School in 1959, and then worked at the high school until she was united in marriage to Lester C. Plutz on April 30, 1962 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Kimberly, Wisconsin. Lester was a member of the United States Air Force, and their travels took them all over the northeast and central United States. After Lester's retirement from the Air Force, they settle in Bristol, Wisconsin. Pat worked at Abbott Laboratories for 25 years before retiring. Pat and Lester then moved to Texas to be closer to their children. Pat is survived by her husband, Lester, two daughters, Lisa (Andrew) Reed of Houston and Lynn (Brian) Lorenz of Frisco: three grandchildren, Jessica (Ryan) Springer, Jacob Bohn, Joseph Lorenz and one great-grandchild Finnley Springer. She is also survived by a brother, Thomas (Maria) Van Sambeek and a sister, Mickey Gray. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Marie Schmidt, five brothers, Peter Van Sambeek Jr, John Van Sambeek, Sam Van Sambeek, William Van Sambeek and Francis Van Sambeek. A visitation will be held at 4:30 pm Thursday, March 30, 2017 with a Prayer of Commendation by Fr. Don Zeiler at 5:00 pm then the family will continue to have visitation with friends until 10:00 pm at Stonebriar Funeral Home Chapel, 10375 Preston Rd, Frisco, TX 75033. After Domis died she married Stephen Lundy. Nice work on the stone!! I am thinking instead of being broken top to bottom, the stone is broken side to side--kind of in half. Census records, etc, it all seems to fit. I will share the records, but it appears that John and Margaret Cox Spencer are buried in Elm Cemetery--the same cemetery as their daughter, Mary Spencer Selby Lundy. | 1063 | https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/141073902/charles-rockhold Son of John Rockhold and Elizabeth Elinor Talbott Married Ruth Marsh 21 Jan 1773 in Maryland From "Scenes from the Bluffs " Sullivan County has achieved its present place of prominence in East Tennessee through the efforts of many of its early citizens, whose memory is preserved in many place names, and whose tradition of leadership is carried on by their direct descendants. One of these prominent citizens was William Rockhold, a native of Maryland and the son of Charles Rockhold of English and German descent. The family came to Sullivan County about 1795, settling near the Bushong Furnace near King's Port. From 1805-1806 the brothers William and Thomas sold goods in Blountville. Thomas was also sheriff of Sullivan County, and William was Justice of the Peace and State's Attorney. In 1815 William Rockhold married Harriet Netherland of King's Port, the daughter of Richard Netherland and sister of John Netherland who, incidentally, raised his voice in the state senate against the removal of Indians from their eastern homes to the territory beyond the Mississippi. The newly married Rock- holds bought a farm on the southside of the Holston River four miles east of Bluff City, and lived there with their family more than four decades. In 1847 William Rockhold deeded twelve acres to the Methodist Episcopal Church "for a Camp and Meeting House." Though church services were held in the Edward Cox house close by until his death in 1852, Camp Meetings were regularly held at the Rockhold site. After Cox's death, services were held at Rockhold in the first meeting house, a log structure which continued to be used until destroyed by a flood. He emigrated from Germany on February 27, 1869. After arriving in America, he made his way to Boone County, Iowa, where he purchased 40 acres of land in Yell Township. He married Frances Harriet McKune on September 20, 1880. Their children were: Emma L., Catharine Elizabeth, Peter Hezekiah, Jacob Edward, Frances Minerva, Harriet A., Albert Harrison, Lurena E., Mabel Ellen, Wilhelm George, and Louie Cecil. He was considered by his peers to be an industrious and energetic farmer who finally owned 140 acres of land in Yell Township and was well-liked in his community. When he died May 22, 1940, in Boone, Iowa, of a stroke, at the home of his son, Albert, he was one of the oldest pioneers in the county, and had been a resident of the United States for 72 years. | Schierholz, Jacob Albert (I2601)

Her father, who was a Union soldier, died October 8, 1862, less than two years later, at the Battle of Perryville, Kentucky, in the American Civil War. Frances married Jacob Schierholz on September 20, 1880, in Ogden, Iowa. Their children were: Emma L., Catharine Elizabeth, Peter Hezekiah, Jacob Edward, Frances Minerva, Harriet A., Albert Harrison, Lurena E., Mabel Ellen, Wilhelm George, and Louie Cecil. Survivors include his parents, Don and Janice, Bigelow, MO; a son, Scott, St. Joseph; three brothers, Tom, Ronnie, and Bill, all of St. Joseph; and a sister, Diana Riggs, Maryville, MO. Private family services were held in Albuquerque, N.M. The body was cremated. He died October 18, 2008, at the Long Term Care Unit of Jewell County Hospital at the age of 96 years, 3 months, and 15 days. Sidney was the middle child in a family of nine children, and the first boy. When his mother discovered she was expecting, she prayed that if the Lord would give her a son, she would dedicate him to the Lord's service. She never told him about this until he had made his own decision to enter the ministry. He was raised in a very devout Christian home where two mottoes dominated the philosophy of the home: "Do only that which you feel is the will of God for you", and "Here am I, Lord, send me." Sidney attended elementary school in a one-room school house, graduated from Brewster High School in 1931, and Kansas Wesleyan University in 1935. He received his BD degree from Garrett Biblical Institute in 1938. His first appointment was in 1933 to the Traer Methodist Episcopal Church, in the former Northwest Kansas Conference. He was married to Eva Tedrow June 20, 1934, and they had three children: Coralyn Kaufman, a registered nurse, of Mankato, Kansas; Rosalie Menhusen, a former high school teacher, of Mankato, Kansas; and Rollin, who became a United Methodist minister, of Wichita, Kansas. Sidney is survived by his wife, Vesta (McCammon) Dillinger, Mankato, Kansas; son-in-law, Jon Menhusen of Mankato, Kansas; six grandchildren, thirty-one step-grandchildren, two brothers, Troy Dillinger of Colby, Kansas, and Dwight Dillinger of Hays, Kansas, and two sisters, Clarice Blakely of Colby, Kansas, and Olga Schwartzkopf of Wakeeny, Kansas. Sidney held several conference and district offices, and was the second preacher in the Kansas West Conference to receive the Rural Preacher of the Year Award. He used his horses in youth ministry, and for many years he helped in the church youth camps. Sidney and Eva served in the Kansas West Conference until Eva's death April 16, 1976, serving churches in Traer, Palco, Wells, Almena, Kensington, Seldon, Dresden, Rexford, Jennings, Bird City, Sharon Springs, Cunningham, Gypsum, Gem, McCracken, Bazine, Ionia, Esbon, and Odessa. In 1966, Sidney was chosen as one of twelve ministers to dramatize how preachers dressed and traveled to conferences two hundred years ago. With Eva's help he rode horseback from McCracken, Kansas, to Baltimore, Maryland, preaching along the way. In the fall of 1976, Sidney transferred his conference membership to the Missouri West Conference. He married Hilda Bird, December 25, 1976, and served as a pastor in churches in Osceola, Lowry City, Sheldon and Bronough, Missouri, until his retirement June 1, 1982. During his retirement, they made their home in Bolivar, Missouri, and he served the Flemington-Weaubleau churches for ten years. As part of the celebration of 200 years as a denomination, Sidney and Hilda joined three other people to ride horseback half-way across the continent to tell the story of the Methodist Church and preach an evangelistic sermon. They talked and preached to over 9,000 people and had more than 100 respond to the invitation to come to the church altar for prayer. In Missouri, he was a state officer of the Optimist Club. In 2007, he received a pin honoring his sixty years as a member of the Masonic Lodge. Hilda died in 1997. In 1998, Sidney moved to Mankato Kansas, and married Vesta McCammon, June 19, 1999. They enjoyed several winters in Phoenix and traveled to many interesting spots. Though they had only nine and a half years together; they had a deep and abiding love for each other and for God that sustained them through the difficulties of declining health. A memorial funeral service for the Reverend Sidney C. Dillinger was held Tuesday, October 21, 2008, at 11:00 a.m., at the Harmony United Methodist Church, Mankato, Kansas, with Pastor Dan Dempsey and Pastor Rollin Dillinger, officiating. Music was provided by Lyle Dauner, pianist; Lori Menhusen, soloist, "Amazing Grace", a group of grandchildren, "Daddy's Hands;" duet, Allen and Elaine Smith, "Thank You:" and the congregation sang, "The Circuit Rider Preacher" and "Precious Lord Take My Hand." Inurnment of the cremains was held at 7:30 p.m., at Wichita County Cemetery, Leoti, Kansas. He worked at a local paper mill (Thilmany) following the Service and later turned to long-haul trucking in 1988 starting with Schneider National (Green Bay) and ending with JMW Transfer (Appleton) upon retiring. Among Dave?s children are: Amanda (Jim) Vandenberg (Menasha); and Beau (Amanda) Huolihan (Neenah), and their daughters Miylah and Harlynn. David is survived by siblings: Gordon (Jan) Huolihan, Anna Kading, Joyce (Ron) Haberland, Ginny (Harvey) Judkins, George (Sue) Huolihan, and sister-in-law Nancy. And also many nieces and nephews. David is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Clifford and Michael; and his brother-in-law, Earl Kading. Due to the current pandemic, formal services will not be held. David?s immediate family asks that you remember him in your prayers. Funeral services have been set for Saturday, July 1 at 10:30a.m. CDT at the Brewster United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Brackett officiating. Burial will follow in the Brewster Cemetery. Friends may pay respects at Koons Chapel on Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. MDT and before services Saturday. Memorials may be made to the Brewster Heritage Center and can be left at Koons Chapel. Mrs. Wright was born Feb. 14, 1897 in Mercer County, Mo., the daughter of William and Nancy (cox) Thompson. The family moved to Brewster by covered wagon when she was six years old. She married Roy Tracy, Feb. 4, 1919 at McDonald, Kan. He preceded her in death in 1937, in 1942 she and her two children left the farm and moved to Brewster. She married William L. Wright, Jan 30, 1943. He preceded her in death in 1980. She was a member of the Brewster United Methodist Church, the Colby American Legion Auxiliary, Lowell Coleman V.F.W. Auxiliary in Goodland and N.W.K.R.S.V.P. of Brewster. Mrs. Wright is survived by a daughter-in-law, Hazel Tracy; granddaughter, Jolene Miller of Goodland; nephew, George Bear and niece, Nancy Sporing, both of Goodland; a granddaughter Beverly Goering of Fort Collins, Colo.; a grandson, Roy Cody of Olympia, Wash. and a grandson, Sam Cody of Atwood; six great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren; as well as severalo other nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Thelma Thompson of Westminster, Colo.
