Kristi Emory wrote this poem the morning of 30 Jan 2004 for her Grandpa Emory.

    Natures first sight is born.
A love in our life grows.
The wind blows deep within our souls
    Each day is gold.
Each moment never like the one before,
    The love grows deeper,
    The days become shorter
    The clouds roll in
and in a flash the love is gone.
    Tho never truly gone,
and always in our hearts and minds.
We reach into our soul and grab onto
the wonderful way you touched our hearts.
    Remembering your smile
    and the way you laughed.
Your love has touched so many,
    That love will never part.
Grandpa your free now and can go where you like.
I know in my heart you are with us day and night.
I love you Grandpa and have to say
I will meet you in heaven right by the pearly gates.
