    Daughters of Isabella rosary for Leona M. "Blondie" Dreiling, 83, of Las Vegas and formerly of Hays, will be 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, followed by parish vigil service at 7 p.m. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays, with the Rev. Michael Suchnicki officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays.
    Mrs. Dreiling died Friday, June 22, 2001, at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas.
    She was born Aug. 27, 1917, at Victoria, the daughter of John and Catherine (Schmidtberger) Rupp.
    She and her husband, Ed Dreiling, were longtime owners of the Coachman's Restaurant until 1972. He died May 31, 1974. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Clarence, Danny, Elmer and Edward Rupp; and two sisters, Albina and Albertina Rupp.
    Mrs. Dreiling was a member of Daughters of Isabella and a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, both at Hays.
    She is survived by two sons, Ed Dreiling, Las Vegas, and Dale Dreiling, Boise, Idaho; three daughters, Donna Wills, Las Vegas, Sandy Crookshanks, Tyler, Texas, and Vicki Hull, Charlotte, N.C.; a brother, Linus Rupp, Bushton; five sisters, Irene Huff of Russell, O'linda Schantz, Colorado Springs, Colo., Sally Sullivan, Garden City, Alice Wasinger, Hutchinson, and Albertina Rome, Hays; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
    Visitation hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 to 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the church, in care of the funeral home, 20th and Pine, Hays, KS 67601.

    Celestine 'Sally' Sullivan
    Vigil service and rosary for Celestine "Sally" Sullivan, 82, was 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Garnand Funeral Home, Garden City. Funeral Mass was to be 10:30 this morning at St. Dominic Catholic Church, Garden City, with the Rev. Joseph Bahr officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Garden City.
    Mrs. Sullivan died Friday, March 4, 2005, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.
    She was born May 12, 1922, in Victoria, to John and Catherine Schmidtberger Rupp. She grew up in Victoria and attended school there.
    On June 20, 1943, she married Fredrick R. Sullivan in Rockingham, N.C. They lived in various places before moving from Cheyenne, Wyo., to Garden City in 1962. A homemaker, she also was the manager of the Elks swimming pool for several years. She and her husband also owned and operated The Plaza Cue, The Keg, Five Points Motor Co. and Sullivan Retail Liquor.
    Mrs. Sullivan was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church, and enjoyed sewing, playing solitaire and other card games, pool, bowling and current events.
    In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Carol Nanninga and Judy Dohogne, both of Garden City, and Sally Farmer of Emporia; a brother, Linus Rupp of Bushton; three sisters, O'Linda Schnurr Schantz of Colorado Springs, Colo., Alice Wasinger of Hutchinson, and Albertine Rome of Hays; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and four sisters.

    BUSHTON
    Linus Joseph Rupp, 75, died Monday, Dec. 26, at Via Christi-St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita. He was born March 13, 1930, in Victoria, the son of John and Catherine (Schmidtberger) Rupp. He married Bernice Weigel on Nov. 9, 1948, at Emmeram. He then he married Mary Ann Sporing on June 17, 1998, at Canon City, Colo. He grew up in Victoria and Hays and had lived in Denver, Colo., Cheyenne, Goodland, and Hays, and then has lived in Bushton for 12 years. He worked in the oil fields, and then he was a Teamster truck driver for 35 years. He retired in 1992.
    Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Rupp of the home; three sons, Curt Rupp and Fred Rupp, both of Bushton, and John Rupp and his wife Vonda of Greenwood, Ind.; one daughter, Jan Yanda and her husband Daryel of Gorham; two step-sons, Tim Robbins and his wife Nova of Anchorage, Ala., and Bill Robbins of Greeley, Colo.; two step-daughters, Tina Sims of Bushton and Katrina Sims of Lorraine; three sisters, O’Linda Schantz of Colorado Springs, Colo., Alice Wasinger of Hutchinson and Albertine Rome of Hays; 18 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Clarence, Daniel, Edward and Elmer; four sisters, Irene Hoff, Albina Rupp, Blondie Dreiling, and Sally Sullivan; one infant sister, Albertine Helen Rupp; and one grandson, Dale Yanda LeGrande.
    Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at St. Fidelis Catholic Church in Victoria. A private family burial will be at a later date. A vigil service will be at 7 p.m. today at Cline’s Mortuary, 412 Main, Victoria, KS 67671. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today and 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Friday, all at Cline’s Mortuary in Victoria. Memorials are suggested to Via Christi-St. Francis Burn Center in Wichita, or Masses.

    Irene Hoff 1915-2003
    RUSSELL - Irene Hoff, 87, died Jan. 19 at St. John Nursing Home in Victoria. She was born Feb. 1, 1915, at Victoria the daughter of John and Katherine Schmidtberger Rupp. She married Emil Hoff Jan. 4, 1938, at Gorham. He died July 16, 1996.
    A resident of Victoria, coming from Russell, she worked at Ben Franklin and Duckwalls Stores and was a cook at Bickerdyke Grade School and the Russell High School, all of Russell. Mrs. Hoff was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Russell.
    Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Brungardt of Russell; one brother, Linus Rupp of Bushton; four sisters, Olinda Schantz of Colorado Springs, Colo., Sally Sullivan of Garden City, Alice Wasinger of Hutchinson and Tina Rome of Hays; and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Clarence, Edward, Dan and Elmer Rupp; and three sisters, Albina Rupp, Leona Dreiling and Alberina Rupp. Rosary will be at 7 tonight at Pohlmana's Memorial Chapel in Russell. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Charles Steier officiating. Burial will be at St. Fidelius Cemetery in Victoria.
    Friends may call from noon to 9 tonight and from 9 a.m. to service time Wednesday at the mortuary. Memorials are suggested to the church fund and Mass Stipens, both in care of the funeral home. Great Bend (Kan) Tribune Jan. 21, 2003.
