    Beverly Ann Goering passed away on November 25, 2021, at the age of 76. Bev was born October 23, 1945, in Goodland Kansas to John William and Hazel Violet Tracy. Bev was married on August 23, 1964. She had two children with her former husband Richard (Scott) Goering.
    Bev earned her Bachelor's degree in Management Science and her Master's degree in Business Administration from Regis University. Bev was a lifetime learner and was always taking classes in various topics and earned countless certificates along the way.
    Bev worked in the Utilities Department for the City of Fort Collins for 29 years. After retirement, she began her next adventure in designing and creating beautiful jewelry. This was one of her greatest joys. She was quite accomplished with beads, stones, gems, and metal. She could often be found at one of her workbenches sketching a new design, performing intricate work with a magnifying glass, or pounding out copper on an old railroad tie in her garage.
    Bev was a longtime member of the Colorado Archaeological Society and the Fort Collins Rockhound Club. Bev had a love of travel and new experiences. She was a member of the Friendship Force and had traveled to 38 different countries. Bev had a passion for genealogy. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She loved to share stories about her family's heritage.
    Bev was proceeded in death by her parents John and Hazel Tracy.
    As many of you know, Bev loved to share stories. These stories were sometimes historical or sometimes educational. She could keep you captivated as you learned something new. We hope you would continue sharing stories to keep her spirit alive.

    Beverly Ann Goering passed away on November 25, 2021, at the age of 76. Bev was born October 23, 1945, in Goodland Kansas to John William and Hazel Violet (Hansen) Tracy. Bev was married on August 23, 1964. She had two children, Christopher Scott and Robyn Elizabeth with her former husband Richard (Scott) Goering.

Bev is survived by her partner Dean Grogan of Fort Collins, son Chris Goering of Windsor, daughter Robyn (Scottie) Moore of Fort Collins, granddaughters Mary Goering, Emily Goering, Evelyn Moore, and Madelyn Moore, sister Jolene (Rich) Miller of Goodland, KS, and many nieces and nephews.
    As many of you know, Bev loved to share stories. These stories were sometimes historical or sometimes educational. She could keep you captivated as you learned something new. We hope you would continue sharing stories to keep her spirit alive.
    A memorial service for Beverly will be held Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Allnutt Funeral Service ? Drake Road Chapel, 650 W. Drake Rd., Ft. Collins, Colorado 80526, followed by a reception at 3:00 PM.

    Services Friday
    John W. Tracy dies
    A sherman County farmer and Rancher, John W. Tracy, died this morning at the Northwest Kansas Regional Medical Center, Goodland, where he had been a patient the past 10 days. He was 63.
    Services will be held Friday at 11 A.M. (CST) at the Brewster United Methodist Church with Rev. Jay Kump officiating. Burial will be in the Brewster Cemetery.
    Friends may pay their respevts at the Sage and Smith Chapel, Goodland, from 1-9 P.M. (MST) Thursday and before services Friday.
    The son of Roy and Mary Idonia Tracy, he was born Jan. 23, 1920 at McDonald.
    He and Hazel V. Hansen were united in marriage on Jan. 28, 1943 at Brewster. To this union two daughters were born.
    A soldier with the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946, he served in the military police in the African Campaign. Following his discharge, he farmed and ranched until the time of his death.
    He was a member of the Goodland Elks Lodge, the Brewster VFW (where he served as a past commander) and a member of the Lianos Township Board.
    Preceding him in death were his father and a sister.
    Survivors include his wife, Hazel, of the home northwest of Brewster; two daughters - Beverly Goering, Ft. Collins, Colo., and Jolene Blau, Goodland; four grandchildren; and his mother - Idonia Wright, Brewster.
    Memorials to benefit the Brewster United Methodist Church may be left at either the church or the Brewster AC Store.

    John married Hazel Voilet Hansen on 28 Jan 1943 in Brewster, Kansas.     Hazel V. Tracy
    Hazel V. Tracy, 78, Goodland, a longtime Brewster area resident, died Tuesday, Aug. 21, at University Hospital in Denver.
    She was the daughter of David Hansen and Anna (Schwerdt) Hutchinson and was born on Oct. 7, 1922, in Thomas County. She grew up and attended school in Brownville area and later attended Goodland High School.
    She married John Tracy on Jan. 28, 1943, and traveled with him while he was in the Army through 1945. They farmed and ranched in the Brewster area for about 40 years. When John died in 1983, Mrs. Tracy moved to Goodland, but still managed all the farming responsibilities until her death.
    She had been a nurse’s aide at Boothroy Memorial Hospital here and worked at an Army Ammunition Depot, and later was a housewife and mother. She was known for baking and decorating cakes, served as a Sunday School teacher for many years, was a Girl Scout leader and delivered Meals-On-Wheels in Goodland.
    She was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, the Sympathy Club, the Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Colby, Brewster extension club, and the Brewster United Methodist Church, as well as a volunteer for the Share program for the last nine years. She qualified for membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution.
    Her parents, and two sisters, Laura Ochsner and Minnie Laine, died before her.
    Surviving are two daughters, Beverly Goering of Fort Collins, Colo., and Jolene Miller and husband Rich of Goodland; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
    Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Central Time Friday, Aug. 24, at the church. Pastor Dorene Chambers will officiate, with burial in the Brewster Cemetery.
    Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Bateman Funeral Home in Goodland and at the church before services on Friday. Family members will be at the funeral home receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight.
    The family has requested memorials for the church, which may be left at the church or can be mailed to Bateman Funeral Home, Box 278, Goodland Kan. 67735.

    Also:
    Three other families are mourning the lose of loved ones among them Hazel Tracy, Boyd Billenwillms and Roy Duell. Hazel was the mother ofJolene Miller and another daughter Beverly from Fort Collins. Jolene told me she had been in the hospital, here and in Denver the past five weeks. I didn’t know the other two gentlemen personally but did know the sister of Roy Duell, Virgiline Amos of Goodland. To all of these people I wish to send my condolences to them as they face a few agonizing months in the future as they figure out where and what they will need to do to adjust to these loses. May they all know that the Almighty walks with them and at times will also carry them over the stones they’ll find in their paths.
